The whole world must be outstunned with the lost Spain have to faced in their opening match of the World Cup 2010. Gelson Fernandes of Switzerland scrambled the ball in to the net at the beginning of the second half, condemn La Furia Roja to a humbling loss.
With all the big name in the squad, no one has ever wonder how the European Champions had managed to lose the match. Especially when it happened in the net which guarded by Iker Casillas, the man nicknamed San Iker, achieved almost all there is to achieved. His honour collection includes European Champions, Supercopa de Espana, FIFA World Cup 2002, to name but the most prestigious.
But the history was not on Spain's side. Underdog Switzerland had defeated the Wold Cup favourite.
"The squad is raging, and we are finding it very difficult to accept defeat in the manner in which we did", said the Real Madrid shot stopper to journalist after the match.
