It was a bright sunny Monday when I set my feet on Macau for the second time after a very serious shopping spree with my friend in Hong Kong. Wet and weighed with tons of luggages, we dragged ourself along Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro in search of a budget accomodation in a small alley called Rue de Felicidad. Yet until now we couldn't find either the hostel nor the small alley.
Have only two days, after unloading our luggage in Augusters Lodge -another budget accomodation referred by Lonely Planet, thanks to Paolo with his latest iPhone4 and Gianlu we found it. This hostel and the owner really worth a recommendation indeed- we go straight to A Ma temple to see the A Ma festival. This festival is held every year to honour the Goddes A Ma, patron of all fishermen and seafarer. The journey itself took about an hour. On foot.
The next day, we found ourself strolling along Taipa and Coloane Island, getting in and out villages, temples and of course had our toes a dip into a wild casino dream in the largest casino on earth, The Venetian. This huge establishment in Cotai Strip of Macau claim to surpass its Las Vegas sister.
Here it is, the fruits of our snip and snap here and there in Macau.
The ruins of St. Paul. One of Macau infamous iconic building.
Senado Square from Leal Senado building now Institute of Civic & Municipal Affairs (Portuguese: Instituto para os Assuntos Cívicos e Municipais).
Santa Casa de Misericordia A deserted old house. Look at the highrise building at the background. Blurry old house. The Venetian. Velicidade controlada por radar. Coloane overexposed :D Street food stall aka Dai Pai Dong. Another Dai Pai Dong,, look at his cute clumsy face :pTwo BFF posing in front of their favorite restaurante.
Suburban Macau. Skycraper stands side by side with shophouses.Walkways in the Old Taipa Village.
